Improving womens presence and wellbeing in HE institutions

This course aims to develop and strengthen understanding of gender equality in HEIs and to provide users with a list of strategies and tools that can be applied within their institutions. It also offers users the opportunity to make links between gender and specific thematic areas such as work conditions; participation in senior-level positions; maternity and paternity benefits; and gender-based violence.

Docentes y colaboradores

Francesca Ceserani

Francesca is a highly motivated professional with four years of experience within the UN system and passion for promoting and protecting the rights of the most vulnerable people and communities. With vast interest ranging from protection, humanitarian action, gender equality, and sustainable development, she has a Master's of Laws in Human Rights. Besides being Italian, she is fluent in English, French, Spanish and she has basic knowledge of Modern Standard Arabic.

Karina Ginoyan

Junior Consultant at UNESCO IESALC focusing on educational inequalities, gender, and higher education policy analisis. Currently assisting in the research project on assessing women's participation in higher education in Southern Africa developed jointy with the UNESCO Office for the Southern Africa.
