This course will help you understand what is needed to transform your students registry and academic record systems from paper based, to a fully digital, integrated and accessible system.
You will be able to assess the status quo, needs and challenges to the digital transition in your own HEI. FInally, you will draft a plan of action to implement change in your HEI, and finally achieve a user friendly student data system that provides easy access to atudent records.
Flavia is a professional with more than 4 years of experience in higher education policy and research. Her fields of expertise include the third mission of universities, community engagement in higher education, university rankings and quality assurance. She works as a Junior Consultant for UNESCO IESALC, being involved in the 'Feasibility study for the creation of a diploma supplement for Latin America and the Caribbean. Flavia is also a Researcher at PPMI, a leading European research and policy analysis centre. At PPMI, she has been involved in multiple projects, including a ‘Study on the Impact and Transformation Potential of the European Universities Initiative’ for DG EAC and an ‘Evaluation study on Excellent Science in the European Framework Programmes for Research and Innovation’ for DG RTD. Before joining PPMI, Flavia gained working experience at the Accreditation Council for Entrepreneurial and Engaged Universities (ACEEU) and the Centre for Higher Education Policy Studies (CHEPS). Flavia holds a Master’s in Research and Innovation in Higher Education (MARIHE) with a full scholarship provided by Erasmus Mundus and a Master of Science and Technology Policy from the University of Campinas.
José Antonio Quinteiro Goris es bibliotecólogo (CumLaude) egresado de la Universidad Central de Venezuela y abogado (posición 10 entre 236 graduandos) por esta misma casa de estudios. Posee una Especialización en Gestión de Servicios de Información de la Universidad Simón Bolívar (Venezuela) y una Maestría (‘Top 5% Honours Class’) en Administración y Gerencia de la Universidad de Sheffield (Inglaterra). Sus principales líneas de investigación son la movilidad académica transfronteriza, los derechos humanos y sus mecanismos de protección, el derecho a la Educación propiamente dicho y derechos conexos.
